I had an amazing week....I’m so glad to hear that all your guys week went great...
We ended the week once again blessed more than ever by the Lord. We ended the week with 21 lessons with members present, and 35 total lessons, while still getting 27 set ups...it's not like numbers really matter, but that’s just how many souls we were able to try and help get closer to baptism. The Lord is truly blessing us so much for our efforts, it is unreal. But the crazy thing is, we have so much to improve, and who knows what our potential is with the Lord’s help and good solid hard work.
But our investigators, the one that was supposed to get baptized. He is 18 years old. In Taiwan you have to be 20 to be legal, so under that you have to get the parents to sign the baptismal sheet. So he went home and asked his mom, and she said no...She told him he is the son of a Buddhist god and all this stuff. He called us the next morning at 5:30 in the morning in tears devastated!! He is the biggest stud though, the last 3 days or so he's been going around with us on the streets teaching people. He is at a lot of our lessons and bears the strongest most humble testimony. It really helps because he's pretty much a member, but because he's not he can connect with the investigator more because he's not baptized yet either. But it's funny he'll just call us up and ask if he can come do missionary work with us.. It's awesome! He wants to serve a mission. The other elders had a baptism the other night, and you could just see in his eyes it was killing him to see this other guy accept baptism and he couldn't. But were praying really hard, and we’re going to go talk to his mom and try and get her to see that we’re not an evil church, and that it's good for him. But yeah we need his mom's heart to be softened. But he is a stud, I love him so much it's an awesome experience to get to know him, and have his faith increase mine.
Then we have a girl, Zoey...she is moving along amazingly. She came for a lesson, and we taught her with a talk from the conference, it was a good short strong message. Then after we had to go to a lesson at 5:30 and had a ward party to be back to at 7...she decided to stay there at the church till the party...she stayed and read more of the Ensign and scriptures, and the best part about it is all the younger ward members were there practicing their dance for the ward party, we came back and they had all made friends. So now she has a ward support and it's awesome...it made us so happy! She is coming along really, really well.
We went on companionship exchanges again. It was just between us 4 again in our area, I went with the other companion this time. This is his first area, so we both don't speak very well, so it was really interesting. But it was really fun, except that is when the head thing happened, so that night and a few nights after were absolutely miserable. But other than that it was way fun...We spent a couple minutes messing around with people outside with the laser...it's so much fun, haha.
Yeah then because of my companion year mark, we woke up at 5 in the morning and rode our bikes to Elephant Mountain and hiked up it. It was really fun, but it was one of the hardest things I’ve done. The stairs were way steep, and it was all the way up the mountain. But at the top the view was amazing, and we had some good study time with us and the world (God's creation). But I’ve never literally been sorer in my entire life. My thighs man I could barely stand and sit down they hurt so much, it was crazy.
But yeah it was an amazing week, we saw all of the Lord's help in our efforts... Sorry this letter isn't too long, but I just want to say, I absolutely love my mission. I’ve never been happier and had so much time, and worked so hard at the same time. But it's awesome. Thank you guys so much for supporting me and helping me do all I can to become the missionary and man that Heavenly Father wants me to become.
I know this Church is true. I know Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I know through Him I can have eternal life, with my family and Father in Heaven. I love this gospel so much. I love the Book of Mormon. I love reading God's perfect words through his prophets. I know it is the only book on the face of the planet that will allow men and women and children everywhere to have peace and godly happiness. I’m so grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ and the opportunity I have every single day to repent and become a little better. I thank my Father in Heaven every night for my life, because I love it. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I Was Sitting in Priesthood Mtg Listening to a Lesson...
This past Sunday, as I was sitting in priesthood meeting listening to the lesson…
We were being taught on the subject of the pre-earth life, discussing the difference between Satan’s plan and Christ’s plan. I had some insights come to my mind about this subject that re-affirmed Christ's love for me and all mankind. The question was asked "what was the difference between the two plans"? I was thinking well Satan would have forced us to follow him and Christ we would have free agency. Which is correct but then came to my mind this other thought. Christ told our Loving Perfect Father in Heaven, I will allow the children of thee to choose whether to follow or not, but I will give myself even to death for their opportunity. Through my life, they may have theirs. Satan on the other hand just said all people will follow. There are two things wrong with Satan’s plan....1st-he wanted all the glory to himself, and wasn't willing to give any of the glory to the Father. 2nd-it wasn't out of love, it was out of selfishness. Think about it, Satan was so selfish, he wanted all to be saved, because he didn't want to sacrifice himself. Yet Christ loved us so much, he was willing give himself to us. Christ died for our sins, something Satan wasn't willing to do. They both wanted all the children of Heavenly Father to be saved, but Christ’s plan was out of love. He was willing to provide himself as a way to return to live with our Heavenly Father. Satan wasn't willing to provide the way so he was just going to make everyone follow.
Christ has perfect love for each and every one of us, which is why he died for every one of us. He suffered in the Garden, he was beaten spit upon and whipped, then nailed to a cross to hang until the father allowing him to come back to his presence. All of this for you and me. He is perfect, he loves us perfectly, and through him we are saved, and allowed the opportunity to return back to Heavenly Father. But we all have free agency, to choose whether or not we want. I’ve chosen my path, I hope we all can have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and follow his footsteps to be saved, and not dragged down to Hell in never ending misery with the one who is miserable himself!! He doesn't deserve any glory of us being drug down with him, we must persevere and do all we can to follow Christ. The Father and Jesus deserve the glory of their children returning to live with them, and living with them forever.
The question was also brought up why did we forget about the pre-earth life. I believe because it was so perfect and lovely, that if we didn't forget what is was like we wouldn't have free agency because we would know what we have awaiting us and would do everything to get back to that heavenly place. But through Holy Ghost, we can know again what it was like, and then do everything we can to return because I was that great of a place. A place of perfect peace, and growth...Where with our families we lived and most important living with our creator!!
I bear my personal Testimony:
I know Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I know he suffered for everyone of my trials and hardships. He is perfect, I love him so much... And everyday consecrate my efforts unto him and his great work. I love my mission so much, yes because I’m growing into the person he wants me to become, but also because I can help him in his great work of bringing back his children that may be lost. Then helping them remember the great blessing of living with him, and the perfect happiness they had. Please I beg everyone to repent, come unto Christ and taste of the blessing I’ve been tasting of on my mission and only know will continue to as long as I repent each day and give myself to him. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

I also Love the MOTAB!
Dad, I knew you'd come along, don't you just love Rascal Flatts (editor note: country group), haha I love them....I also love the MOTAB (editor note: Mormon Tabernacle Choir)! I've been digging them lately....every morning while I'm getting ready to go out I turn them on and get pumped to them. Haha I never thought I'd say that but it's true. My companion was even like this morning he said, I never liked the MOTAB until you came!! Haha it's fun!
It’s called the "LEAP OF FAITH"
Hey Family what is up!!!! How are you guys doing? I’ve never been better like always every week I write you guys.
But that is awful about the earthquake. But the church is always good about giving service to everything that happens, that is the way Christ would do it and this is truly Christ’s church.
How was family night? I’m glad that you guys are continuing to do that....I loved family night, I looked forward to it every single month...except for cleaning up the chairs, haha. But yeah I love it. Is Erynn ok?
Josh's trip, dude I’m so jealous. That is going to be the sweetest thing in the world. That sounds so much fun, and I know he'll have a blast. Just tell him have fun getting all those shots needed to go over there (just kidding don't tell him that) But that is going to be so good, he is going to learn so much from this experience I’m happy for him.
Cade is such a brilliant man. I love how smart and humble he is. It's so awesome. But Cade don't forget of the talent of swimming that Heavenly Father has blessed you with. Work hard in all things and the Lord will bless you beyond comprehension. I’ve always known he can do a lot of things in his life if he sticks with it and has determination.
Britton, 5th grade program...Yeah I totally remember that one.. That was great, I still remember some of the songs from it, which means that it truly did brain wash me. But yeah that was fun, I don’t' even remember what part it had, but I just remember Steve Pitcher and I sat next to each other and we wore those hair hats and had the elastics on the bottom of them. We would test to see how strong we each were, we would pull down on the elastic and let it hit our chin.. I remember laughing so hard with each other we thought it was so funny, man I love that kid. but glad to hear soccer has gotten off to a good start. I’m sure it's going to keep getting better and better.
Abby is brilliant, I love hearing all these cute and amazing things that she does. 3rd grade list in the spelling bee that’s dang good Abs, keep working hard and you'll keep progressing like you are. Honey thank you so much for being so loving and amazing. Have fun at the party!!!
Yeah dad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved teaching in the primary, I just wish now I could have taken more time to prepare the lessons and made it more interesting for the kids. It's so important to be a primary teacher and teach these kids how to learn to live the gospel and grow up in this ever getting worse world.
But about the business, I’m so glad to hear that it's going well. I’m so glad to hear all of the clients that their lives are changing. It makes me so happy. I only know the Lord will keep blessing our family if we’re all doing our own part and working as hard as we can, then go to the Lord in thanks, then ask for his help and I know he'll help....He is really blessing us right now, thank you guys so much for the hard work you do to support the family.
Well here is a little that has been going on in the past week.
I’ve been really trying I mean really trying to study my hardest to learn this language. I’ve been waking up an hour early every morning to study more Chinese. The Lord is really blessing me for my efforts. My Chinese is really improving, my listening skills especially, I still get lost a bunch of times with what people are saying, but I’m understanding a lot more and the language is sweet. I love studying Chinese it's so much fun.
English class we had on wed was amazing. We did a group activity for the spiritual thought. It’s called the "LEAP OF FAITH" We took one investigator in the room and blindfolded him and told him to pick someone he trusted. He picked his girl friend or someone. Then we had him stand on a table then the girl stood in front of him on the ground. He put his hands on her back....We then lifted the table about 3 inches or 4 inches off the ground but at the same time the girl in front dropped and left so he wasn't holding on to anyone. When she drops and we lift at the same time, it makes the guys feel like he's 4 or 5 feet in the air. Haha it was so funny, he was freaking out. People started to say jump, and his girlfriend said jump trust me. He was like freaking out yelling am "I close to the edge" then he jumped and since it was only like 4 inches off the ground he totally face planted, he hit with his feet and flew forward cause he thought he was a lot higher. Everyone was laughing so hard. Then we told them that meeting with the missionaries and making those changes in life may seem really hard at first, but after you do it it wasn't hard at all. It was a very spiritual lesson, I bore my testimony talked about how through prayer I truly talk with God, and the spirit was really strong. Then after a lady came up to me and was like "you know how you said you can talk to god, how?" I was able to teach her about prayer and the reality of prayer. She was so awesome; the spirit was really strong again. and she was way excited to try to prayer about Joseph Smith that night. It was a very successful English class.
This week we went to the very top of the roof and taught 2 lessons. Not just the top, but even to the very top were you have to climb a ladder to get up there. Both of them were with a member present. So we hauled chairs up there with our investigator and member. It was a really cool experience. You could see everything in every which way....it was way cool, and really fun. I’ll have to try to get the pictures from the member that was with us, cause I didn't have my camera. But yeah it was way intense.
Also we had interviews with the mission president this week.. They were good, I love talking with him and asking him questions. But yeah it was good.
So yeah this week was another good week not to count numbers or anything but we got 41 set ups, or people to teach so that is an unheard of number. I’m telling you the Lord is blessing us so much for our efforts. I know the harder we work, and I know we can work harder, the more he is going to bless us. But right now we’re just working with this "wu" kid, he is 18 his faith is awesome. Next week is his baptism so we’re just working on keeping him prepared and helping him get ready. The other night he called us and asked if he could come out and contact with us for the night. It was cool he came around with us, and in a few of the contacts bore his testimony. It was amazing.
But yeah just working hard and doing all I can to consecrate myself to the Lord. I love this work and am so glad that I have the opportunity to work under the loving hands and directions of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I love Him with all my heart. I thank him every day for giving me life, and this opportunity.
Lately I’ve been on a personal quest, I was thinking I tell all my investigators and people on the street you can really know God, but I was thinking do I really KNOW God. So I’ve made that my quest the last week or so to really try and know God. I’ve been studying preach my gospel, reading his holy scriptures, asking the mission president, discussing with other missionaries and spending lots of time on my knees. I’ve had two very spiritual experiences so far on my mission. One in my first transfer, and one this past week, both after spending time on my knees at the end of the night. I testify God lives, He knows me, and I know Him. Every day I will continue to know Him more and more, I know through this quest I will continue to have a stronger testimony that He lives. I testify He speaks with me through prayer. I testify He listened to those two prayers and spoke back. I know this because I felt His perfect loving arms wrap around me and touch me to the very core. He lives!!! Not even a question in my mind, He loves me and will help me have His perfect true happiness!!! I know if I lose my life to Him, I’ll find a better one....I’m so grateful for Him in my life. I love my Savior and Redeemer!!!!!!
But that is awful about the earthquake. But the church is always good about giving service to everything that happens, that is the way Christ would do it and this is truly Christ’s church.

Another great week in the field, gotta love life!
Hello, Hello, how are you guys doing....another great week in the field, gotta love life.
Things are going great right now, I’ve never been happier like always, I just get happier and happier every single week. But yeah this week the Lord blessed us out of our minds, we ended with 10 new investigators, 28 lessons taught, and 33 set ups. These numbers are crazy good, so the Lord is absolutely blessing us for our efforts. The cool thing is we can only work harder than we are right now, and the Lord will continue to bless us more, the harder and more diligently we work. But the best thing about the numbers we got this week is each of those people are sons and daughters of God and have this chance to listen to His perfect gospel and receive baptism....
But yeah, we baptized "shen baba(mean dad)" this week, that was a really cool experience. Just after the baptism we all sat back down in the chairs and sang songs to wait for them to get out of wet clothes and dressed. While we were waiting we sang, "I Need Thee Every Hour," "Nearer My God to Thee," and "Come unto Jesus." It was a spiritual experience, I really felt God's love and the presence of His Holy Spirit. It was awesome to really know that I’m his child and he loves me. He then came out and sat down with his family, he was so lit up it was an amazing thing. We were able to confirm him a member right there after the service. The light in his eyes was amazing, absolutely filled with the Spirit of God or the Holy Ghost. But just to think they are going to be able to have an eternal family and live together forever. That was the coolest feeling to see them as a family smiling. Oh yeah a way cute thing too, they have a 9 year old kid, who stood at the glass as his dad accepted baptism, this kid is the sweetest kid in the world, he's the one I took pictures with on the bus I sent. But when his dad went under he said and lifted his arms "Yeah, daddy is baptized! Oh my gosh it was an amazing feeling, to see the impact of baptism on families. Now we have their 18 year old son left then their family is complete. He has kinda a hard heart but we're trying, and with the Lord's help this family will be able to be sealed together and live together forever as a family unit.
We also went on exchanges with our district leader Elder Berry, which is kinda funny cause we all 4 live right next to each other, but yeah that was cool, we taught a guy named "Ye." He started the lesson with a ton of doubts and was really doubting. This was a very, very powerful lesson directed by the Lord himself. We taught from the scriptures, followed the spirit and by the end of the lesson, he had a baptismal date, he totally changed and was literally way pumped to go home and repent. So that was a really cool experience.
Then this other guy, Elder Berry set up a couple days ago and this guy stood him up. Then we were going to get something to eat, we passed all the eating stands and started to walk down a random road, we have no idea why we were walking down that road. But we soon found out, when we passed a red door, the door opened, we looked back and Elder Berry said "That’s Him" I was confused I had no idea what he was talking about, so we went back and talked to him, set him up for that day at 3 to come and meet with us. 3 rolled around and he called us and said he wasn't going to make it and said some lame excuse, but Elder Berry said come at 4 then. He came at 4, it was about an 15 minute lesson, we gave him a little tour of the church building, showed him, Christ pictures, first vision, then took him to the chapel, it was a very straight forward our purpose as missionaries is to help people accept baptism. It was a short, powerful, easy to understand lesson, and he left with a baptismal date. The Lord is preparing so many people, if we'll continue to live worthy, work hard, and talk to everyone Heavenly Father will put people in our paths that are ready to hear the gospel; I know this as a fact. We literally after we set Him up thought for a minute while we walked back to the food stands, we don't even know why we were going down that road, but the Lord guided us, unknowing to us, down a street that would let us run into this guy, it was a very cool experience.
Last night we had one of the most heartfelt lessons of my mission to this point. We decided to visit some non-active members last night. We talked with the ward council because we had a meeting with them right after church, and we asked them if there is any less-actives that we should visit. They gave us a couple. So we picked one and when it came time we went to find their house and visit them. We struggled finding their house, two white boys in Taiwan with a million complexes or apartments yeah it was confusing. But we couldn't figure out why we couldn't find it faster because we are both eagle scouts, but then I remembered that my mom is an eagle scout, haha! So thanks mom!!! But anyway, after calling them we found the address, we went up to their door and were invited in. We got in and just kinda started small talk to get to know them and introduce ourselves. We were just seeing how things were going. We had planned to share the Elder Bednar talk with them about Love in the Home. As we talked with them they weren't really opening up or anything. But later on in the conversation something someone said struck a Gold mind, and they started opening up, mostly the wife talked, but they told us everything going on in the relationship. It was like a marriage session on steroids haha. But yeah we found out everything, and the wife said that night when was starting to pack up to leave her husband and 13 year old daughter, but because we showed up didn't leave. When my companion and I found out they were thinking of divorce, we just starting thinking about what is would feel like for the 13 year old daughter. We also thought about if our parents were to split up how we would feel, we both started to cry, and literally started to plead with them from the deepest most bottom of our hearts not to split up. We pleaded with them, told them to stop being selfish and do it for the daughter, the mom was bawling the whole time. We were crying pleading and begging them to do everything they possibly could to stay together. The Mom was suffering from some serious "I’m not wanted in this household" depression, the husband didn't really say much. We found out some other hidden things why he didn't really care much. But we talked about how they were the best thing that’s ever happened to each other. We told them right there to look at each other and tell each other they love each other. I told them every day, morning and night, as many times as possible to say the three most important words in a relationship "I LOVE YOU" and to give each other a kiss. I made them commit from now on that they would try everything they could to stay together for the daughter. They committed to the I LOVE YOU, kissing, and trying. But they are going to need a lot more than that. They need the Savior, they need to start coming back to church, and using the atonement in their lives. But it was good, the Lord really directed our words, and if they didn't feel the heartfelt love we had for them I don't know how else we could have showed them. The Lord blessed us with true charity at that point in time. It was an amazing atmosphere. But we will continue to work with them. We called the bishop last night and set up an appointment on Saturday to meet with them, so hopefully they can. But yeah it was sad to think that they were about to divorce, but if they try and read the talk we gave them and do what is in the talk, they will be able to overcome this through the power of the atonement.
What I honestly learned from this experience!!
--I learned the importance of marriage and the significance of marriage. Marriage is a beautiful thing, if treated like the most important unit that it really is it can be a place of learning and growing and a place where the gospel can be taught and learned. The relationship between the man and women is very, very sacred. God over time has done things two by two for a reason. Noah 2 animals, missionaries 2 elders or sisters, Book of Mormon and bible 2 testaments of Jesus Christ, and marriage between 2 human beings a man and a women. Marriage is so amazing; through marriage we have the opportunity and privilege of bringing souls into this world. It is a big responsibility to bring children into this world, but it's a responsibility we need to make because that’s part of God's plan. We need to think as parents that God himself is trusting us with his children, trusting us to help them grow up to remember God and his teachings. I realized the importance of not letting anything come to divorce, the thought of it makes my stomach drop. It takes trust and loving each other with the deep most love a human can have for a human, but that’s what we need to do. We have made the choice to bring this or these souls into the world, we have to take care of them. That means having a mom and a dad which is how it's been since the beginning (Adam and Eve), to help them learn and grow. It is a sacred and wonderful blessing, but we have to take it as such. It cannot be treated lightly.
But Dad-I realized the amazing importance of the work you do. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the work you do, and how you’re so good at it. You’re a complete stud, thank you so much for leading the way and helping others overcome these things and staying together. Thank you so much for having an amazing relationship with mom, and showing the example to us kids and all those around that see your guy's relationship. I love you so much, thank you so much for your life service to God's children in helping them keep what God has granted them - "each other." Dad I hope I can grow up to be like you, and follow in your footsteps your an amazing father and example. I love you so much, I can't wait to get home and continue to improve our relationship together, I know it will only grow from here on out. I love hanging out with you, and over the years I didn't appreciate it as much, but I love your advice in all things. Girls, school, actions it all was very important to me. I loved just chilling with you and talking. Dad in the MTC when I got the studying methods and a little note from you, it touched me like nothing else. Just the connection between father and son, especially first son, you have no idea, I read it over and over just because it was from my dad, and I look up to you so much....Anything you say I know is in wisdom for me to live a better life and become the man that you and Heavenly Father wants me to become. Thank you so much dad!!!
Well family thank you so much I love you all so much, I’ll be sending a separate email for each of you hopefully. But I just want to share my testimony: I know the Lord is my Savior and Redeemer. I know God lives. He is my Father in Heaven and I communicate with him through prayer. This work is real. Jesus leads this work every single day. As I am obedient and put all my efforts into the work I see miracles that couldn't happen without the Lord's help. I know God knows each and every one of us, and is willing to help our lives and situations if we'll just ask Him. I know this is true in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Pictures of the 4 Missionaries Who are Going to Tear it Up!!
Well, Our New Area is Rockin'
Well, our new area is rockin. We are doing very well; the Lord is really blessing us in our efforts. This week we scheduled 31 set ups or people to teach and had 21 lessons. So yeah it's going absolutely great. It's so awesome. But our investigators, we have the shen baba he is tomorrow so that should be good, then we have the Li family they are sweet, they have 2 little kids a girl and a boy, they have come to church twice and love the family atmosphere. We just haven't had a chance to sit down with them and teach them. But they are coming along really well, and they'll get baptized. Then I guess most of our investigators are just moving along, just trying to get them to continue to read the Book of Mormon and pray. But yeah sorry it's not an amazing update but yeah those are the few that could use some prayers I guess.
Questions- No I’ll be fine with money, thanks for being so on top of things, I love you so much. Face wash- well if it works for him that'd be great, but whatever is fine cause I’m fine with my face wash, I’ve learned to just deal with zits I’m not trying to get a girl or anything, haha. But the sheet music I haven't gotten yet, I printed the other stuff off.
See Josh is a smart kid, even though he didn't think he would do well he did great. I hope he can get in, cause it was a good experience I don't know if I’d recommend going up living on his own or maybe he could, but the roommate I got stuck with was not a very classy guy. But yeah that'll be great experience for him, I’m way proud of him. I love him so much. But I’m sending him two gifts today; I hope they get to him not broken.
Dang I bet the party was fun on New Year’s Eve, yeah we heard that we could go to the roof and watch the 101 fireworks, but we were like freaking out about it because I mean cum'on 2 missionaries out at midnight, we were like talking back and forth about it forever. We got in bed by 10:30 like we were supposed to but then talked till 12 debating whether to go up or not. We ended up deciding it's better to be safe than sorry so we just stayed in the apartment. The sad thing is when it hit 12 we were just in bed falling asleep, we heard all the fireworks and people screaming but yeah I didn't do anything. I know lame, but I got a good year ahead of me so I 'm way excited.
That place in Kaysville sounds sweet, I bet that'll be fun to go on dates too and stuff. That’s awesome that Kaysville is adding places like that, I love Kaysville it's such a sweet place to live. It's an amazing little town.
8:30 church uh? Yeah I wake up at 5:30 every morning so I think you guys can do it...hahaha
But, I got a couple miracles that happened for us over the past week.
First, we were going to visit the less active family and we were in the elevator and a lady had us hurry and stop it before it closed. We got talking in the elevator and asked her if she had heard of us missionaries and seen us around. Then she's like yeah about 3 years or so back I met with them, and fed them every week. She was like they were 2 sisters, one was named dong Jiemei (this is "sister" in Chinese) Then my companion was like dong? Because that’s his Chinese name. And his sister a couple years back served in this mission and she was in the same area as us now. So we got talking and we found out that most likely it was his sister 3 years ago that knew this lady, and now her son is 8 years old so he can get baptized, they have already been everyday praying, they are so legit also. It was such a miracle, just things like this that you know there is no way God isn't leading this. There’s no way that this was just chance, for her to run into us in the elevator. So yeah that was way cool, my companion was in shock the whole night.
Then on the way home from the appointment he got a distinct impression to go talk to a lady that was walking down the street alone. He said they talked and she had just joined a church not 2 weeks ago. She was not happy with her situation, and started to pray. Right when she started to pray is when my companion arrived by her side to talk to her. She credited it to God listening and answering her prayer. He shared the first vision with her and said she received it really well. She’s really busy, but we'll find time to meet with her. But yeah I thought that was a really cool thing that happened.
Bad thing was right before this we got into it with a couple other Christians, they were bible only people, and the mom was just a talker. I got pretty frustrated, I held it in ok but the spirit just totally left. We both, especially me cause he played it a lot better than me, felt really bad. So we repented and asked for forgiveness together, then we saw those 2 miracles that night. So that was awesome.
But yeah my Chinese I feel sometimes is just stagnant, but I know I need to repent because when I think that I’m discrediting the Lord’s work and help in me learning this language. But yeah I know it's improving a lot, and my listening skills are improving quite a bit also. So yeah I’m very, very thankful because without the Lord there is no way I could even do anything close to this. We were given an article called the 4th missionary (I was going to share some parts with you guys today but I forgot it, but if you can find it, it is a great thing for life also) but there is a couple of paragraphs that I loved that really have and are going to change my mission and life. One of them is talking about "letting the Lord make of you what he wants you to become." Then it talks about you will only make a smudge, or an ordinary man. "But he will create a GOD!" I love that sentence, if we give ourselves up to the Lord, and do his will not ours, and do what he would have us do not what we want to do, he will create a GOD. That is a perfect amazing promise that he can make us Gods. But yeah I’m working really, really hard on giving all myself to the Lord and doing his will...If he says do it, I will!!!
But I know that this work is guided, all of our lives are guided. There is no way it couldn't be, everything is to miraculous, and perfect to not have a perfect mind behind it all. I testify that we do have that perfect mind, that perfect heart, that perfect God behind this all. We have a creator, he loves each and every one of us FOR WHO WE ARE not who we think we should be!!!! He made us the exact way he wanted to and in his eyes that is perfect. We all have our imperfections, our flaws, but through the Savior Jesus Christ those are made whole, and we are to be made perfect in the eyes of our Heavenly Father. I love my Heavenly Father so much, I love praying with him, and talking with him. If we are being obedient and doing what we should be doing there is no language or anything between us and our Heavenly Father. We can truly talk to him. He is the best friend ever, he'll never leave your side or be busy, he'll never forget about you. If we ever need anything I know I have one person that is 100 percent every single second there for me, and willing to listen with perfect ears that will hear every single problem or hardship we share and in turn will answer with perfect lips a perfect answer to those questions and hardships in life. He is perfect and we can to become like him, after all that is our purpose and his joy. I love this gospel so much, I’ve never been happier and I want to have this happiness the rest of my life. I know I can through this gospel and my older brother Jesus Christ.
I’m so grateful to have you guys as my family. You guys provide the perfect example for me in my life. I love you mom and dad, who have put up with me all these years, in hopes that I’ll become what they had envisioned for me, and I hope I made you guys proud. My little brothers Josh, Trey, Cade, Britton who are the best brothers I could ask for, who love me and put up with me even when they may not want to. I owe my life to you guys and will serve you guys the rest of my life. And to my little sister Abby, my little sis, who is the best thing ever that happened in my life. The feeling of sitting and having her in my arms warms my heart every time I think about it. Abs you are the sweetest girl in the world. Thank you guys for being the perfect family, I know I’m not perfect but I’m trying right now. I know that I may not have always been the best son or the best brother, I apologize I’m really trying to make it up and I will need to the rest of my life. You guys are amazing; the Lord blessed me with the perfect family. He knew exactly who I needed in my family life to get me through life. Thank you guys, I hope that I’m being a good enough example to you guys to follow. But don't stop there because I know every single one of you can become a million times better than I’ve become, because I see that potential in every single one of you, but the most important thing is that the Lord knows you have that potential, so don't waste it, all of you, do everything you can to develop your many talents and things the Lord has blessed you with. Thank you guys! I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!
P.S. I got the Christmas card you made, that is awesome thank you so much for doing that for me. You’re the best!
